So......... someone stole these photos. Also, isn't Uwe Seeler a grandiflora in America? I don't have a current Combined Rose List to find out.

I am presuming they didn't ask permission from you - or the other members? if not, it is theft on a grand scale. They have stolen 5 of the 7 HelpMefind photos contributed by Cliff, yourself, Maurice and the Vienna Public Gardens. That is not right.

Michael, the ARS show 'Uwe Seeler' as a Floribunda.

I never gave my permission. I was actually shocked. I found it on accident.

Even the ARS has it as floribunda? Some floribunda! It grows 7' tall here, in a straight line! :D

Were the photos stolen for commercial purposes as is often the case? If so, and if you were willing to reveal the name of the thief, we would know not to buy from that vendor.

Yes. I don't know the name.

Maybe the others can do something about it. I'm not really an injured party per se, since the reason I place photos here is to create community and spread awareness about roses. I just find it distasteful to steal others' work.

Probably my favorite rose in this color range. Its an older rose, and it never became popular, but I like it. The plant is like Queen Elizabeth, except slightly shorter and more narrow. The blooms are florist-like, and in a really pretty shade of orange-red. The foliage is between average and holly-like. It is relatively healthy, compared to most large roses in this color range. Overall, it looks very "sharp".
