This should really be rated zone 6. It has survived nearly 20 years with winters well below zero. The size of the bloom is much larger than 3.5 inches. The blooms on my plant are consitently as large as any Hybrid Tea; average of 4.5-5 inches.

Id like to find some cuttings of this one also if anyone has either hardwood or later softwood cuttings Id be happy to pay.
