Introduced in France by Péan-Sylvain in 1835 as 'Triomphe de Luxembourg'.
Introduced in Australia by Giles and Son in 1881 as 'Triomphe du Luxembourg'.

Bloom:

Buff, pink undertones, light yellow shading. Chamois, purplish red undertones. Strong fragrance. Average diameter 4.25". Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Glandular sepals, leafy sepals buds.

Habit:

Few or no prickles/thorns. Glossy foliage. 3 leaflets.

Height: up to 5' (up to 150cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

A rose in commerce in Australia sold as 'Triomphe de Luxembourg' may be 'Rhodologue Jules Gravereaux'. The original rose had 3 leaflets.
Billy West writes: "The rose in commerce as Triomphe du Luxembourg" was originally sourced from Sangerhausen and can be seen in public and private gardens all over the world. The rose in question does not match detailed descriptions of the original 'Triomphe du Luxembourg' and that has to be eliminated as the correct identity. The dearth of information and detailed description of 'Rhodologue Jules Gravereaux' makes it difficult to be confident that the second label is the correct identity, but it certainly seems a closer match."
