Bred by F. Harmon Saville (1924-1997) (United States, before 1989).
Introduced in United States by Nor' East Miniature Roses as 'Teddy Bear'.
Class:
Miniature.  
Bloom:
Russet.  Mild fragrance.  28 petals.  Average diameter 0.75".  Small, very double bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Compact, upright, well-branched.  

Height: 14" to 20" (35 to 50cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 11.  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, garden or specimen.  Vigorous.  flowers drop off cleanly.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
