Bloom:
Bright yellow. Large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
It is unclear who actually bred the rose. The Reverend’s father, brothers and uncle were nurserymen. The Reverend died on March 28, 1879. The rose was introduced in 1880.
After 1941, the parentage was reversed in the literature. There is one 1941 reference which calls the rose a noisette.
