Bred by Philippe-Victor Verdier (France, 1860).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1863 as 'Madame Furtado'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Carmine-pink.  Strong fragrance.  Average diameter 4.5".  Very large, very double bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
Vigorous.
