Solfatare. Guard petals of deep cream. Centre, on first opening, sulphur yellow. Fades rapidly. Well worth having in spite of its capricious habit of blooming. Note colour plate. Calot, 1861. Bomb. Yellow fading to white. Large. Midseason. Medium height. Spreading habit. Uncertain bloomer. Cutting. Should be cut in bud or immediately upon opening.
