'Ruga’ ' A rose one would like to know more about; it was said to be a hybrid between R. arvensis and a China, and to have been raised in Italy early in the nineteenth century. William Paul adds a significant sentence to his approving notice of it: 'A good seed-bearer.' It was light pink, fading to white, 'very sweet'. It is listed in Modern Roses as R. x ruga
