Booklet (1938) Page(s) 128. Frank Newbold (17) Medium size, Tyrian pink, midseason. Staminodes oblanceolate, Tyrian pink with yellow edges. Carpels smooth, tips pink-tinged; disk inconspicuous, pink-tinged. Plant large, compact; flowers held high above the foliage. A slightly darker form with hairy carpels was also recived under this name.
(17) indicates that the plant material (both forms?) was received from the breeder: W. L. Gumm, Remington, Indiana.
