Is it possible that this could be the same rose as the alleged "Chinese" HT at Vintage Gardens and Ruston's garden in Australia? The flower pictures do look similar enough to make me wonder. I confess to a bit of wishful thinking here. A body bagged "Red Cap", is being sold at the Aldi's grocery chain near me. The bin contained several quite rare (in NA) roses including, 'John S. Armstrong' and 'Cl. Tropicana'. The floribunda 'Redcap' looks rather nice, and maybe growable in my climate, zone 5 cold and wet.

Would you clarify for me - what name is used for the rose you're referring to at Ruston's?
Thanks,
Margaret

Red Cap. Presumable the same 'Red Cap'listed at Vintage Gardens without a picture.

The rose that David Ruston grows is the Swim, 1954 floribunda 'Redcap'.
{Margaret - you might like to move your photo out of the HT 'Red Cap' file and into the 'Redcap' Floribunda file.)

Sorry I can't help with the HT 'Red Cap' but Vintage are saying it is no longer available.

Done. Sorry about the mixup. I went cross-eyed photographing all those red or orange floribundas.
