Red.  Rose red to current red.  15 to 20 petals.  Average diameter 2.5".  Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters, high-centered bloom form.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  Semi-glossy, leathery foliage.

Notes:
In 1954, when 'Redcap' was registered, the American Rose Society used a different petal count to determine bloom form. 'Redcap' was registered as a semi-double bloom form with a higher petal count than what is used today.
