Suzuki's roses seem to have KEI as the breeder code. We need more back-up info on SUZ....

I am aware that it is not the "right" code for Suzuki but, reading through the pages of Ansaloni catalogue, other roses have codes that do not look "right" but appear to be useful to identify the rose. For example Pilgrim by Armstrong is ARMigr 0077, Dr. Albert Schwartz by Delbard is DELlo 0023. In this context SUZlif 0072, the breeding years, the similarities .... but you are right: many clues do not build up a proof!!
PS would you use KEI to identify a SUZUKI rose?

.. and probably we will be left for ever with this doubt!
I asked Edo Ansaloni and a techician who worked with Balestier and I did not get any definitive information. Although both remeber very well Epoca, the techician does not remember Capitalia and Ansaloni does not remember its "origin" (home-produced or edited). He admit that at the time he was asked to introduce in Italy roses presented by foregn breeders at Rome Trials .... but he does not remember if this was one of those roses.

This rose probably was only edited by Ansaloni. It appears to be a rose by Suzuki Seizo (see 1969 reference) possibly Olympic Torch.
