'Prince Henri' was not bred by A. Reuter, but by Justin Kohl, 17 rue de la Montagne, Walferdange, Luxemburg. It was introduced by the nursery of Ady Reuter, Walferdange, Luxemburg. (Info from Danièle Kohl, daughter of J. Kohl). It is a Hybrid Tea, not a Floribunda.

Thank you, we have added this information as a note. There is a quote mentioning Justin Kohl as breeder in the new book on Roses from Luxembourg. Is there more information available on Justin Kohl and his roses?

According to the Lëtzebuerger Rousefrënn - Rosae Luxemburgenses - and to Danièle Kohl, it was bred in 1962. J. Kohl lived from 1921- 1983. He gave his roses for introduction to his friend Ady Reuter. You should change to: introduced by A. Reuter. I am working on more roses bred by J. Kohl, but no details yet.

There is a Sangerhausen record which states 1954. We have to check the background of this information. It is possible that the rose was bred before 1954 and only commercialized in 1962.

I know the SGH date, but it is wrong! The daughter of J. Kohl just confirmed the breeding date of 1962 from the files of her father!
