Being sold as "Wall of Flowers" at Michigan Bulb

I picked one up with my annual order of random sale items to add to my garden to try. :) I'm looking forward to her growth. I've had good results from MB's items as long as I've gotten them in the ground or soaked them promptly. She'll be arriving soon!

This was among the first clematises to be planted in my garden. I bought it from a local clematis breeder near the town of Grimstad east of Kristiansand. I was told that this is a freeflowering, easy to grow variety, and indeed it is. I decided it would be a good company for the rambling rose "Alberic Barbier" and I have discovered this to be an excellent idea. As a matter of fact they seem made for one another. The flowering of the clematis starts when Alberic Barbier is in full flush, and together they give a stunning and breathtaking performance The dark violet blue flowers of the clematis are becoming the creamy white densly filled flowers of Albeic Barbier in a perfect way. The clematis flowers in such a profusion that the foliage is almost entirely obscured. If you are looking for an easy to grow clematis, tall and wide, with an almost ubeleavably abundant display of flowers, this is an excellent choice. In short, this is one of the best clematises for beginners.
