The blossoms are very large, compact, and of perfect rose type. The center petals are flecked with carmine. It does not have the fragrance of Grandiflora, but is an extra good peony. Livingstone is one of the most satisfactory of the late pink peonies. It is a remarkably beautiful variety that seems to come good every year, which is a very desirable quality.
