Arbuste élégant et petit; rameaux divergents, faibles, armés d'aiguillons rougeâtres, minces, inégaux, peu recourbés; feuilles ordinairement de 9 folioles petites, lancéolées, régulièrement dentées, d'un vert foncé; fleur d'un rose tendre, petite, bien faite, d'abord en forme de coupe, puis devenant plate, solitaire.

A very elegant and small shrub with divergent, skimpy canes armed with reddish prickles that are thin, uneven, slightly curved; the leaves usually have 9 small, lanceolate, evenly toothed, dark green leaflets; the solitary flowers are a delicate pink, petite, well formed, starting out cupped, then flattening out.
