Re: the long vanished rose 'Mrs. C. E. Salmon' The Rose Annual of 1917 (England) on page 131 describes it as of "vigorous, free-branching habit, with deep, bronzy green foliage.The blooms. which are single, are produced in trusses well above the foliage. The color . . . salmon pink."

According to Herbert E Molyneux writing in "The Garden" 21st October 1916: "I have an idea it (Mrs. C E Salmon) is a Cynthis Forde seedling, but I am not sure on that point."
