Book (2000) Page(s) 95. Includes photo(s). ‘Autumn Delight’: Arbuste. Bentall, UK 1933…
approximate translation: "Autumn Delight": Shrub. Pointed buds, and apricot yellow, almost simple flowers, very soft cream in tone, nicely punctuated with stamens. In hot weather, everything turns white quickly, but the fall bloom is sumptuous, with its large bouquets of 30 to 50 flowers on sturdy stems, and the color stays fresh for days on end. Large shrub with dark green foliage, leathery and disease-free, not very thorny ... It floods with flowers in spring, becomes sparser in summer, then delights with its superb fall rebound. Book (1999) Page(s) 95. Autumn Delight modern, modern shrub, white, repeat-flowering. The buds of 'Autumn Delight are pointed and apricot yellow in colour, opening to near single flowers of very soft creamy yellow with beautiful stamens. The flowers fade quickly to white in hot weather, but are particularly beautiful in autumn when huge heads of 30-50 blooms appear on strong shoots. These are quite long lasting and retain their colour well. It forms a large shrub with dark green, leathery, disease-resistant foliage and very few thorns and is useful for beds, borders, hedges and for planting in groups among perennials. It has a huge spring flush, rather sparse bloom in summer and then puts on a wonderful autumn display. Zones 3-9. Bentall, HK 1933. Parentage unknown.

Book (Nov 1994) Page(s) 171. Autumn Delight 1933. Foliage fresh dark green, rather dull and leathery, practically thornless. The buds are pointed, apricot yellow, opening to a nearly single flower of extreme beauty of soft creamy buff-yellow. In hot weather they fade to creamy white but in cool autumn are especially good, always retaining a cupped shape. Beautiful stamens. A good display in summer from side-shoots, and magnificent heads of blossom in autumn. 5 feet by 4 feet. A delightful cool-coloured effect and admirable for giving lightness to a grouping of flaming floribundas.
