Bloom:
Light pink to deep pink, ages to white . Strong fragrance. Average diameter 3.5". Medium to large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Alphonse Karr states in 1835 that 'Roi de Bavière' is a synonym of 'Duuc de Bavière', however the colours do not match.
