Thanksgiving HT. Good reliable rebloom. Outstanding fragrance. Habit 5. Warriner, 1965. [Provenance: Jay Williams, Ca., found]. Deep carmine-terracotta, salmon-pink inside, heavily veined with orange. You might call it turkey-red. High-centered and goblet-shaped, with a spicy, fruity fragrance. Out friend Winnifred Werner fell in love with this while painting it for our catalogue cover.

I. (5.8). Large, intermittent bloom of good color and substance produced on a vigorous, upright plant with abundant foliage. Disease resistant.
II. (7.1). Medium to large intermittent bloom with possible fading. Vigorous, upright plant with large, disease resistant foliage. Needs cover.
III. (7.7). A fabulous rose which should have 300 blooms each year on very long stems, almost thornless. Should be allowed to grow to 7 or 8 ft. In areas where it fades, afternoon shade may help.

Ht. t. The tall willowy plant has few thorns and attractive foliage. It seems to do well on the Pacific Coast. It is a free producer of small, rather flat flowers and is resistant to diseases and relatively hardy.

Howard's California Flowerland '62)....A tall, willow-like plant with reddish green foliage, it is used mainly for landscaping or background. It is disease resistant and hardy. The blooms are small, open fast and rather flat.

Thanksgiving .....Average National Rating 8.2. ..... A tall plant with large foliage and willow-like thornless canes. it is a decorative type, intermittent bloomer, opens fast and holds well. The reports are scattered and inconclusive. The plant is hardy.

Average National rating 8.3.... A virtually thornless, tall-gangly plant with heavy foliage. A good decorative variety which blooms well. Blossoms open fast and of strikingly different color combinations. No fragrance. Some blackspot. Rated high on west Coast but not too well known inland.

Ovoid bud; autumnal shades of bronze with reverse of petals Pompeian red, 35-40-petaled, high-centered, 3 1/2-inch bloom borne singly on strong stem. Abundant, leathery, dark green foliage. Very vigorous, mildew-resistant growth. profuse blooming.
