Origin:

Bred by W. Kordes & Sons (Germany, before 1997).
Introduced in Canada by Palatine Roses in 2007 as 'Fortuna'.

Class:

Floribunda. (Series: Vigorosa® Collection)

Bloom:

Salmon-pink, white center. None / no fragrance. Average diameter 1.5". Small, single (4-8 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters, cupped-to-flat bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Short, bushy, compact, dense, spreading, upright, well-branched. Small, glossy, dark green, dense foliage.

Height: 2' to 28" (60 to 70cm). Width: 16" (40cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, garden or landscape. Heat tolerant. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant, very blackspot resistant., very mildew resistant. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

Notes:

Ideal for beds and mass plantings. Excellent for public green. Despite the single blooms the abundance of flowers has a good distance effect with a continual production until fall. The foliage has an excellent degree of disease resistance.
This variety has been decorated with awards (Gold-, Silver and Bronze Medal) in international rose competitions.
