'Lotte Günthart' rose Reviews & Comments
-
-
Lotte Gunthart was was the first rose I bought as a teen, and I loved it. Evenutally, it played out. I have looked for years where I might buy a rooted cutting or a bush. I have seen it mentioned by nurseries in England. Does anyone have a lead on where I could purchase a bush or rooted cuttng. It was developed by Armstrong Rose Nursery in California, but the are no longer in business. Can anyone help me find my first love in roses?

I have seen Lotte Günthart in the gardens of Schloss Heidegg in Switzerland. You can order it as custom root from Vintage Gardens in California, but under the spelling "Lötte Gunthart".

I ordered a rooted cutting from Vintage Gardens and it was a rooted twig and despite careful attention it never took hold and died. I now get my own root roses from Roses Unlimited near Laurens, SC. They send gal. size full of roots and do they grow. This is why I was looking for a more reliable source. Vintage Roses charged me $40 for their twig. Jim Rush "xxxxxx@bellsouth.net" If they could get a reliabvle cutting they have agreed to root it for me. Thanks xxxxxxx@bellsouth.net

Oristorush, We have not previously received complaints about Vintage Gardens and we have personally dealt with the owner on occasion and found him to be a most honorable individual: I recommend you contact them about your experience.
