Discovered by Doris Woods (United States, circa 1985). Discovered by Ruth Knopf (United States, before 2001).

Class:

Found Rose, Noisette.

Bloom:

Deep pink, carmine-pink center, ages to lavender . Bud deep pink. Bloom clear pink, fading to a pale pink or lavender hue.. Mild fragrance. 25 petals. Average diameter 2". Full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Armed with thorns / prickles.

Height: 4' to 8' (120 to 245cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for landscape. Prefers full sun. prefers warmer sites.

Patents:

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).

May be the old nineteenth-century French cultivar 'La Marseillaise'. Refer references

Foliage: Finely serrated edges, pointed leaflets, terminal leaf equal in size. New growth reddish, mature foliage medium green.
Prickles: large prickles on all canes.
Bloom: 25 petals plus 7 petaloids.
Sepals: tiny foliations similar to 'Champneys' Pink Cluster'
Pedicel: few glands.
Receptacle: elongated.
Rebloom: Sporadic.
