I've seen a few questions regarding what class this rose falls into. The patent application reads as follows;

Abstract
A new and distinct variety of Floribunda rose plant is provided which abundantly and continuously forms attractive long lasting large very double bicolor blossoms. The blossoms are strawberry red with a lemon base on the inside and are lemon yellow tinted with turkey red on the outside. The plant is bushy and exhibits vigorous vegetation.

When I bought Gypsy Carnival from Regan Roses it was listed as a grandiflora. Good to know it's not, though I'm glad I bought it. I probably wouldn't have, since usually I don't seek out floribundas unless I see one that particularly strikes me. There are enough roses I don't have room for in the hybrid tea category.

I planted 2 bushes of Gypsy Carnival this spring and they are wonderful. They just bloom and bloom and the yellow and red colors blend really well. Based on their early performance, I think they will do as well as the Ingrid Bergmans which are outstanding.
