[Dickson writes:] One seedling left to me by father was nicknamed 'Big Red'. It was huge -- bloom, plant and foliage... it was no good in the open... the parentage of 'Big Red' is unknown. Along with the two greatest parents of all time, 'Peace' and 'Crimson Glory', it played an important role in providing the blood for the most recent reds we have reaised.
