Introduced in United States by Stern's Nursery in 1955 as 'Arctic Flame'.
Introduced in Australia by Langbecker in 1960 as 'Arctic Flame'.

Hybrid Tea.   (Series: Sub-Zero Series)  
Bloom:
Red, ages to crimson .  Currant-red.  Mild, apple, tea fragrance.  50 to 60 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Very large, very full (41+ petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Medium, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Dark green foliage.  3 to 5 leaflets.  

Height: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

It came into being as a seedling grown from a seed born on a seedling of which Mirandy ... was the pollen parent; the seed parent of my new rose was produced by crossing Pink Princess .... as pollen parent with Queen o' the Lakes...as seed parent.....The date of the polination of my new rose was August 1, 1949.
