'Lovers Lane ™' rose Reviews & Comments

my Lover's Lane(LL) only has one cane. It is still thriving, but has been that way for 3yrs now, can i cut into the root ball to get a basil break, or am i forever stuck with this beautiful one cane wonder?

Lover's lane has grown in my garden for 3 seasons now, it was the first rose bush to flush this season. Large red flowers, no scent, but makes for a beautiful cut flower. Good staying power on the bush and in the vase. Long thick canes make this rose great for cutting. This rose is resistant to mildew, however it does get some blackspottin, but barely, when it does, it seems that it is only a few leaves and the blackspot doesnot progress on this bush as it does on some of the others in my garden. I do however have a weekly spraying schedule for all of my 88 roses in the garden. Lover's Lane is winter hardy for zone 6 PA. With no more than mulch protection, this rose had very little dieback,even with the amount of snow we received this winter. This rose is a very aggresive grower,it flushes quickly and heavily, it would be the perfect red rose if it had scent.

Very nice beautiful rose. Repeats very quickly, vigorous & bountiful follage and bloom, great fragrance. A great overall performer, I highly recommend. ....Don in Kansas City
