”Huntington Pink tea” [“Mistress Bosanquet”, Nancy Lee?].  T. rrr / fff / 3. unknown, found.  [Provenance Huntington]
Beautiful as the Mistress is, this is not she, but perhaps even more beautiful.  Pale pink, quartered, muddled blooms from spiraled buds.  Like a pale ‘Rhodologue Jules Gravereaux’ in floral form.  Of note, this rose recently came to us from Malcolm Manners as ‘Nancy Lee’, a hybrid tea of 1879 from Bennett.

Phillip Robinson. Tea Roses. "Huntington Pink Tea" originally arrived in my collection identified as the Bourbon rose 'Mrs. Bosanquet'. Once the plant gained some size, it clearly showed a relationship to 'Duchesse de Brabant'. Clear differences were the very double large flowers and the heavy peduncle and receptacle.
