Bred by Douglas Toogood (1893-1973) (Australia, 1950).

Bloom:
Crimson.  Red with whitish reflex.  Strong fragrance.  30 to 35 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Medium-large, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:

Height: 5'7" (170cm).  Width: 4'7" (140cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
M. G. Tweedie was a committee member of the National Rose Society of Victoria in 1950, as was Douglas Toogood.

There is a discrepancy in the references as to whether the seed parent was 'Crimson Glory' or ['Crimson Glory' x unknown].
