Patricia Routley: In 2003 I struck the rose growing at the entrance to the Albany Club, Aberdeen Street, Albany, W.A.
From memory, there was only the one rose there.  It has turned out to be Mrs. Dunlop-Best (HT 1916), distinguishable by its holly-like leaves. Photos of this rose are in that file on www.helpmefind.com .  [See aso the front cover of the autumn 2019 Journal.

Mrs. Dunlop Best. Garden and Decorative. This is a treasure for garden and home for which no rosarian can be too thankful. Its wonderful qualities of colour, daintiness, freedom of bloom, decorative foliage and sweet scent put it beyond praise. Only semi-double, but the lovely well-shaped buds of reddish apricot, with coppery base, open exquisitely into dainty decoratives. Fragrant. Size:4 (on a scale of 1-4). HT

Mrs. Dunlop Best. (H.T.) has a diffuse low habit, with bronze-green foliage and large double flowers of apricot, tinted with red, borne upon long stems with polished bronze-green foliage. Hicks 1926. Decidous. Vigorous growth. Fragrant....June-September. Hardy.
