The attribution to FG Cazzaniga is probably wrong notwithstanding the references you cite. Mario Azzella's article cum interview with FG (published in the Annuario della Rosa 1969) contains the sentence the sentence: "The roses bred by his famous father, about thirty varieties, have been forgotten. Don Peppino (ie FG Cazzaniga) still grows some: 'Francesco Ingegnoli' a climber with big flowers of a splendid red, and 'Cingallegra', the colour of lemon sorbet." If Azzella had been mistaken, FG would surely have corrected him, so I think the article may be considered reliable.
