I met a lady once who had ‘Elizabeth of York’ and I struck all roses in her garden, whether I had them or not. I have recently noted the Helpmefind photos which remind me of my rose. Previously all I had noted were the references to “orange” in the bloom and I decided in the early years that perhaps my rose might be ‘Columbia’. I still feel that it is so, but I have put references for 'Elizabeth of York' into Helpmefind and noted on the way that it was bred by George Taylor, and introduced by Dobbie. (see 1942 and 1948 refs) as was, apparently ‘Duchess of Atholl’.
