Bred by Jean Desprez (France, 1841).
Introduced in France by Pierre Cochet (père) in 1842 as 'Comice de Seine-et-Marne'.
Introduced in Australia by Northampton Nurseries in 1861 as 'Comice de Seine-et-Marne'.

Bourbon.

Bloom:

Crimson, scarlet shading. Average diameter 3". Medium, very double, in small clusters, cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Few or no prickles/thorns.

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
