Origin:
Bred by Maurice Combe (France, before 1966).
Introduced in France by Vilmorin-Andrieux in 1966 as 'Norita'.
Introduced in United States by Kern Rose Nursery (Joseph J.) Archive of Fall 70 Spring 71 list in 1966 as 'Norita-Schwarze Rose'.
Introduced in Australia by Treloar Roses in 1968 as 'Norita'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Dark red, lighter reverse.  Flowers very deep red.  Strong fragrance.  Average diameter 6".  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, bushy, spreading.  Dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 31" to 39" (80 to 100cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower or garden.  Vigorous.
