This rose seems to start out the season with very pale cream and yellow blooms and gradually darkens to a rich peachy pink color as the summer progresses. It is still my favorite rose for hardiness in cold, and heat, and rain.

I can't say enough nice things about this rose! It survived a zone 4 winter with no protection and then a major transplant and multiple late snowstorms and then went on to bloom continuously all summer in spite of regular hailstorms. The blooms last for well over a week on the bush with a delicious fragrance, ranging from pink to peach to yellow to cream depending on the weather. I don't spray and it hasn't had a single diseased or discolored leaf. It is own root from High Country Roses and has been a delight from day one.

I'm in zone 5a. How long does the cut-bloom last in the vase? and can the bush take partial shade (5 hrs. of sun). Thanks for any info.

I had one in a vase for about 4 days looking nice, but I have only cut the one flower as I have been loving them on the bush so much. I haven't personally tried it in the shade, mine gets sun until about 3pm. Currently I am trying to root some cuttings for more shaded areas, so I will come back and update with the results.

Planted in the hottest part of summer last year, this rose is blooming in my garden for the first time this spring. Profuse spring flush! Buds form red but open to a pale yellow/cream, sometimes tipped with dark pink. Huge heavy blooms that are very full. Nice crisp scent. It has been a completely disease free and undemanding rose. I wish they were all this easy! An excellent older David Austin variety that deserves more attention.
