Translation p. 84: ....it was Jean-Baptiste Lamarck and Augustin-Pyramus de Candolle who, the first in 1805, evoked the obtaining, by sowing seeds, of the Rosa centifolia with single flowers: "Mr. Dupont, by collecting seeds from a semi-double flowered rose of this species, was able to obtain a single-flowered plant."
