Thorny, well branched, new growth light green with orange shading. The leaves change to medium to dark green as they age. It has a light fragrance when cold, and moderate to strong rose scent when warm. The plant sent from Cliff Orent had enough energy to make a 1 1/2" bloom that looked like the kleenex pink" (buff-pink) "rose photo", it will look very different next year.
