Patrick Anderson, HT. (McGredy, 1938) is a bloom of exhibition standard, with rich fragrance and a deep rose pink colour which shows a dark carmine reverse.

Patrick Anderson's frilly flowers in shades of carmine were pleasing. as was the heavy bronze foliaged plant, but if there was any fragrance it was very mild.

New Roses 1939. Patrick Anderson (HT. S. McGredy & Son 1938) Perfectly formed, high centred bud, opening to a large and beautiful flower of deep rose pink. Petals are of a stiff texture, making a bloom of full exhibition size. The growth is very vigorous and upright with dark bronze green foliage; carried on reddish green stems with few thorns. The delightful fragrance is a great attraction. 5/- each. 
Reverse of petals dark carmine. Good.
