C. C. Hillary. 1943 in England
Messrs. Bees Ltd. put up five new ones, the most striking of which was Raffles Bruce. This is a handsome Rose of deeply coloured orange. The bloom is well shaped, fairly full, and the plants exhibited with the blooms seemed to indicate vigorous growth. Raffles Bruce was awarded a Gold Medal and more should be heard of it after the war.
