Origin:
Bred by Pedro (Pere) Dot (Spain, before 1935).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1937 as 'Pilarín Vilella'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Red, copper shading, lighter reverse.  Coppery red buds. Coppery carmine. Lacquer-red. Yellow-orange. Burnt orange.  Strong, spice fragrance.  up to 35 petals.  Semi-double to double, cupped, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  Glossy, dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
