Origin:
Bred by Frank Bart Schuurman (New Zealand, before 1997).
Introduced in New Zealand by Franko Roses New Zealand Ltd. in 1997 as 'Gold Strike'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Golden-yellow.  Mild, licorice fragrance.  35 to 40 petals.  Average diameter 4.5".  Large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  Large, glossy, dark green foliage.  

Height: 28" to 35" (70 to 90cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
