HelpMeFind's future is in your hands - Please do not take this unique resource for granted.
Your support of HelpMeFind is urgently needed. HelpMeFind, like all websites, needs funding to survive. We have set a premium-membership yearly subscription amount as low as possible to make user-community funding viable.
We are grateful to the many members who have signed up so far, but the number of premium-membership members remains too small for us to sustain the current support and development level. If you value HelpMeFind and want to see it continue we need your support too.
Yearly membership is only $2.00 per month and adds a host of additional features, and numerous planned enhancements, to take full advantage of the power and convenience of HelpMeFind. Click here to start your premium membership..
We of course also welcome donations of any amount. Click here to make a donation. Donations of $24 or more receive a thank-you gift of a 1-year premium membership.
As far as we have come, we feel HelpMeFind is still in its infancy. With your support we have so much more to accomplish.

Book (1945) Page(s) 87. Mr S. R. Bird. Random Notes From Auckland. Although evening shows are disappointing, in that yellow Roses appear pale in the electric light, red Roses are most satisfactory. Even Earl Haig, rarely bright in daylight, appeared more satisfactory at St. Mary's Hall in the evening display,
Book (1943) p51. Frank Penn, N.Z. Champion Roses. That winner of many championships, Earl Haig, secured another award at the show held at Auckland on November 4. This particular bloom was a very fair specimen, of good colour and shape., One of the Earl's worst features, in Auckland at any rate, is a tendency to be lacking in "brightness."
p92. Mr. S. R. Bird, Henderson, NZ. Earl Haig was dull, as is too frequently the case with this variety.
p112. Mr Frank Penn. Some of the Newer Sorts. At the Hamilton Rose Show the old favourite, Earl Haig, gained the judges' verdict, largely on account of its colour, which was exceptionally good. As a rule Earl Haig's colour is rather dull and unattrac-tive, but this bloom, grown by Mr. Bennett, had a very pleasing brilliance.
Book (1939) Page(s) 125. Mr Frank Mason, N.Z. Roses and the Dry Weather. Earl Haig has also done well, and at the present time I could pick a dozen flowers fit to grace any spring show and take premier bloom anywhere.
Book (1938) Page(s) 117. Mr Frank Penn, NZ. New Roses in Auckland Earl Haig (many good blooms were poor in colour),
Website/Catalog (1938) Page(s) 17. Bush Roses Earl Haig (Hybrid Tea) By Dicksons of Hawlmark, 1921... Reddish crimson; large size and good substance, fine form. A massive Rose of fine habit. The leading exhibition red Rose, also a fine garden Rose. Recommended. Very highly perfumed. Gold Medal N.R.S.
Book (1936) Page(s) 89. Frank Penn. Rose Notes from Auckland, N.Z. Earl Haig is still indispensable to the exhibitor...
