'Variety Club' ('Columbine' x 'Circus'). This vigorous Floribunda, by Sam McGredy, has a good habit of growth and the general effect of the pink and yellow flowers is attractive, although the older blooms fade a little. The flowers are quite well scented but the foliage will probably need spray protection against black spot in most years.

'Variety Club'., A yellow centre, then white with a red edge. It fades badly, but not unpleasantly. Good in growth and general habit. Health uncertain. Very free flowering and tall. (McGredy's).

A vigorous variety producing plenty of basal growth, 3 feet. Foliage plentiful, dark green and glossy. Blooms of HT shape in bud, opening to 3 inches across, with 48 petals. Colour pink on cream and yellow. Moderate fragrance.
