The photos don't really look "deep" yellow at all. Seeing how these comments here also make mention of the shade bein pale, would that be something worth correcting in the description?

I think our perception of “deep yellow” in a rose shifted with the advent of Pernetianas (around 1910).

I don't know why this rose isn't planted more widely - it is a very beautiful rose, it looks similar to a hybrid tea in shape, it is very vigorous and extremely healthy. The cut flowers are a lovely yellow.

The descriptions are based on early references. It is possible that 'Amazone' in commerce is not the original rose.

Amazone. Tea. Richmond, Va.
This rose came with a photo tag listing it as a hybrid tea, but it's a regular Tea.
A modest flower with weak neck like most teas. Fewer petals than some, opening therefore easily.
Yellow at the start, bleaching in the sun. Not a show rose..
Altogether pleasing by its health, easy growth, and floriferous nature.

The blooms are a pale yellow and HT in shape. Blooms a lot in high heat. No disease or insect problems. Great cut flower.
