I am still trying to find nursery or garden center who has an Ami Quinard Rose for sale.

You can try to request budwood from a public garden, or ask a nursery to ask for the purpose of preservation. Remember, it is not in commerce for a reason!

Perhaps. But just look what came out of it: 'Guinea', 'Baby Chateau', 'Birthday Present', and 'Black Magic' etc. Just look what Kordes said of 'Baby Chateau' (1953 reference).
Annemama, there was a rose grower called Hillock in Texas who was growing this rose in the 1930s. 80 years on, his descendants might still be growing ….Dad’s rose. (Pigs might fly yet). Take a look at the breeder Verne Stone Hillock who lived in Arlington, Texas who is possibly the same man – he bred ‘Black Knight’ from ‘Ami Quinard’.
