'Nicole ®' rose Reviews & Comments

The best way to avoid confusion over Tabriz/Hannah Gordon/Nicole is to just get Birthday Girl instead. If you live in a blackspot prone area, this will probably be helpful. BG has the same vigor but better health and hardiness. I believe it is a sister to Charles Aznavour but Meilland never released BG's parentage. The only down side is that Birthday Girl does not throw those huge 2' diameter sprays that exhibitors made Tabriz/Hannah Gordon/Nicole famous in the first place.
Heart n Soul, and Cherry Parfait in some areas, are also decent substitutes to this confusing mess.

This rose has performed extremely well for me. Wins blue ribbons all the time. But it is bizarre that the ARS classifies it as "white." The petals are edged in hot pink.

Its because the ARS classification system calls WB "White or White Blend". Child's Play also had the same issue, where you would see huge rows of white rows with random pink dots on the show tables. Breeders do not often think of showing so problems like this exist. They just choose whatever they think fits best into what theyre trying to register. And, sometimes, its not always the wisest choice. Likewise, sometimes its clerical error.

I don't know how I can be more specific. I was reviewing the rose named "Nicole." While in this site, I wanted to print out the list of "Awards" that this rose had won. When I went to the "print mode" only an empty page with "Awards" at the top of the page printed but not the list of Awards.

That's the level of detail we were looking for. We'll take a look. Thanks.

Can anyone tell me how large their own personal bushes grow? I've looked at several sources including helpmefind.com and they say anywhere from 2-8ft. That's a pretty big range.
