Illustration & description exactly match the rose purchased in late 60's, early 70's in North East England. We only had one bush, so my comments may not be fully representative but was a favourite of mine. Blooms were always perfectly formed of strong veined petals but not large. Very weather resistant and very strongly scented. On the down side however, it was not free flowering. I took a cutting which outlived its parent, battling on bravely where I had stuck it in a very narrow strip of earth between a paved yard and a rockery at my parents house. Repaving of the yard in my absence saw its demise unfortunately. Looked for a replacement ever since but seems no longer in production - in UK anyway. .
