[From Modern Garden Roses, by Peter Harkness, p. 22:] Crosses of Hybrid Teas with Polyanthas. The first ones were: 'Else Poulsen' and 'Kirsten Poulsen'. [From Roses For the Television Age, by E.A. Piester, p. 21:] hybrid polyanthas were about thirty inches tall and the flowers, single to semi-double, were larger than the old style polyanthas or baby ramblers. [From Beautiful American Rose Gardens, by Mary Tonetti Dorra, p. 10:] Floribunda, for example, introduced as the "Hybrid Polyantha" in 1911 in Denamrk, grew taller and produced larger flowers and foliage than its parent.
