I am new to gardening and live in Michigan. When do you prune? I have Cinco DeMayo Roses that have just took off. They are beautiful. Some of it is diseased though. Is it best to prune in Fall or Spring. It is currently still blooming! Thanks for any help and advice you can give me.

It is unlikely Mr. Carruth can find the time to address individual questions like yours but fortunately you can find extensive information on pruning on HelpMeFind. Try the Ezine and use the text search for "Pruning".

I think Tom has made a mark on roses. I buy almost everything he releases, and I have had far better results than I have had with any Austin. I am looking forward to Home Run. I intend on getting Wild Blue Yonderâ„¢ Julia Child as soon as I can shovel prune a few other roses. All of his roses have been great for me in Florida. If I had to name my favorite breeder it would without a doubt be him. I used to be hooked on Clark roses and Austin's. Congratulations on so many awards, and thank you for your selection standards. I for one appreciate it. Warmest Regards, Andrew Grover Saint Petersburg Florida

I really think Mr. Carruth nailed the look and style of the rose to Marilyn Monroe and Babs. So many hybridizers are so far off.
