Bred by Raymond J. Evison (United Kingdom, before 2012).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Raymond Evison Clematis in 2012 as 'The Countess of Wessex'.

Early Large Flowered, Group 2.  

Light pink, darker stripes, dark red anthers.  up to 6 petals.  Average diameter 6".  Medium to large, single, rippled bloom form.  Late spring to early summer, late summer to early autumn.  

Height: 39" to 4'11" (100 to 150cm).  

Shade tolerant.
